  • Yas Silva is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Loyola University Chicago. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University. His research focuses on big data/social media analytics, data management systems, cyberbullying detection, and Computer Science Education research.

  • Humberto Razente is an Associate Professor of Computer Science in the Faculdade de Computação at UFU. His research focuses on data structures and algorithms for efficient similarity search and data mining. Humberto visited ASU in 2020 and continued his participation in the project afterwards.

  • Heather Flynn is majoring in Applied Computing at ASU. She plans to pursue a career in the computer science industry. Her interests include computer programming, app development and data science. Update: Heather graduated in December 2021.

  • Siddharth has a passion for technology and photography and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Applied Computing at ASU. He is also interested in building Voice User Interfaces like chat-bots and Alexa skills. In the future he plans on getting a masters in Technology Management. Isabel hopes to pursue a career in computer science, while she currently works in web development. Isabel participated in this project in Fall 2019.

  • Thomas Schenk hails from Ohio, but has lived in Arizona since 1999. After service in the Unites States Marine Corps and Arizona Army National Guard, Thomas attended Glendale Community College, earning an Associates in Arts before transferring to ASU to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Applied Computing. Update: Tom graduated in May 2018.

He was a exchange student who completed two semesters in SBU (Stony Brook University - NY) and joined the DBSnap project during the the summer of 2015.
